Elcavator AS has developed an innovative energy-efficient “power/force transmission system” with possibility for regeneration of energy and an efficiency of up to 90%. This will cut CO2-emissions and operation costs of excavation operations significantly.

The highly efficient technology on the Elcavator™ consist of well proven electro drives combined with patented volume neutral cylinders. The force transmission and speed control are done with electronics/electromotors, without any powerconsuming hydraulic valves. One electromotor/pump on each hydraulic circuit/cylinder enables very accurate power management with possibility for re-generation of power during lowering of loads. 

This thecnology makes it possible to use the Elcavator™ an entire working day without need of charging the battery.

The system is also prepared for including a hydrogen fuel cell. By adding this the Elcavator™ does not need battery-charging on site, only re-filling of hydrogen.
